Cultural 2013

This year Amar Pujo brings you two nights of memorable performances brought to you by pantheon of hard working and talented members of our big family in collaboration with wonderful guest performers who have been tirelessly preparing for this event

Saturday night will start with our talented Amar Pujo Youngsters displaying their varied talents in Kathak, Piano, Poem Recital and spectacular Dance Performances.

In the true spirit of the culturally rich and Bengali heritage, we will present a tribute to the Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore, in the form of a dance drama created entirely by Arpita and Piya and is reminiscent of many of his famous theatrical plays. The spirit of Tagore continues with a night of beautiful songs sung by Saswata.

The evening will also feature beautiful folk dance performances by Deepa, Rajeshwari, Debasmita, Pinky, Arpita, Suvan, Sana, Rajnandini, Rahul and Purbita. A little later, Kajori follows with a number of modern songs in her trademark full throated rendition, which will keep you glued to your seats.

Still waiting for that quintessential singing sensation Aakash Deep from last year? He will follow shortly after Ritesh & Joanna's Tabla and Kathak jugalbandi !

On Sunday we have the dynamic band ‘Dhun Unlimited’ consisting of Debjani along with Partho and Chirodeep. Together this trio is sure to leave you with nostalgic memories about your favourite bangla bands.

Then the Ladies of Amar Pujo walk the ramp strutting their fashionable evening wear, and later Chandana is leaving no stone unturned to bring back the magic of Madhuri Dixit to our stage!

Finally DJ Naj  is  ready to set the dance floor on fire as he churns out  urban bhangra Hip Hop remix beats, so put your dancing shoes on :)

AMAR PUJO promises a wonderfully versatile and entertaining weekend for those who have been eagerly waiting for this event to arrive. We hope you will all enjoy this fabulous show!
